HTC One (M8) runs Android 5.0.1 Lollipop on video with Sense 6
HTC is almost ready to launch Android 5.0 Lollipop for One (M8) owners. A video originating from Vietnam shows the smartphone running the latest Android 5.0.1 version of the OS with Sense 6 on top.
As screenshots of the update have shown before, not much willchange once the update hits. However, it's nice to see how the latest version of Android runs on the One (M8). Check it out in the video below
HTC promised it will be updating the flagship One (M8) with Android 5.0 Lollipop by the end of this month when it got Google's source code at the beginning of November, and the project is gearing up for a release, it seems. We already saw the original One running the update, and other HTC notables have also been scheduled, such as the One mini 2, for instance.
We are now being treated, a week or two before the general release away, to a video of the HTC One (M8) running a non-final Android 5.0 Lollipop update with HTC's Sense UI sprinkled on top. If you have been wondering how the update will look like and perform, this here should be pretty close to the real thing that will hit your handset in the next few weeks, so take a gander below.
Additionally, the uploader of the video says that everything runs glitch-free and really fast. Battery life is also improved, but there's no data to back this statement yet.
HTC's 90-day update deadline expires on February 2, but according to the source of the video, it should be out by the end of the month. We'll have to wait and see. Hopefully, the Lollipop update for the regular One (M8) won't get delayed as its Google Play Edition sibling.
